The cashew butter makes this shake extra special. Blueberries are interchangeable with whatever berry you like. I quite enjoy strawberries or peaches. For more of a milkshake consistency, this recipe works best with a frozen banana and frozen berries.
Yield: 2 Medium shakes or 1 large shake
Ingredients
4 regular sized ice cubes
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 medium banana, frozen
1 cup unsweetened plain or vanilla plant milk of choice (I used cashew milk)
1-2 tbsp cashew butter, depending how rich you want the shake (I used 1 tbsp)
1 tbsp maple syrup or 2 dates pitted
1/8 tsp pumpkin spice or cinnamon
a splash of vanilla extract (optional)
pinch of salt
splash of vanilla extract (optional)
Procedure:
Place all of your ingredients into a blender. I like to place them in the order they come listed above, I find its easier and faster. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Serve icy cold.
