Yield: 16 servings
¾ cup + 2 tbsp oat flour
½ cup + 2 tbsp cacao powder or cocoa powder
3/4 cup coconut sugar
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp tapioca or arrowroot starch
1 tsp dandy blend (optional)
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ cup pitted medjool dates (about 4 large dates), soaked 10 minutes and drained
¼ cup + 3 tbsp maple syrup
5 tbsp nut or seed butter of choice, I used walnut butter
½ cup unsweetened plant milk of choice or water
2 ripe avocados, pitted and skin removed
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup dairy free chocolate chips (optional)

Procedure
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 8 by 8 square cake pan with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray, set aside.
To your food processor bowl, add maple syrup, nut or seed butter, plant milk, avocado, and vanilla. Turn food processor on and run until everything is completely smooth, you may need to scrape down the sides once or twice.

Add, flour, cacao, coconut sugar, baking powder, starch, baking soda, dandy blend (if adding), salt, and cinnamon and pulse food processor until smooth, try not to overmix. Stir in chocolate chips.

Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth out so it bakes evenly. Bake in preheated oven on the middle rack for 20-25 minutes, be sure not to overbake. Brownie should look a wee bit under done, it will firm up as it cools. Allow to cool on a rack for at least 15 minutes before serving. If you are frosting these brownies, allow them to cool completely before frosting.
